Funding for the Societal Infrastructures and Development Project

Funding for the initial stages of the SID project was provided by a variety of sources.  In addition to the Cline Endowment, private funds were provided by the Boeschenstein Endowment and the Nerad Fund.  The SID also received funding from the University of Illinois’s Critical Research Initiative Fund and the School of Law.  External funding came from the PepsiAmericas Foundation as well as the National Science Foundation (Comparative Constitutions Project).  Additional sources of funding are currently being sought to sustain SID’s on-going operations.
